Obituary of Lewis D. Bouton

Lewis D. Bouton, 98, of 5220 Little Rd., Addison, NY, entered into rest Friday, April 27, 2012 at Steuben County Health Care Facility, Bath, NY. Born in Rexville, NY on July 29, 1913, he was the son of George & Grace Goff Bouton. He was retired from Ingersoll Rand Co., Painted Post, NY, working as an expeditor. Lewis was an avid bowler, being involved in league bowling for many years. He also enjoyed playing pool and raising a garden. His garden was a great source for Lewis' favorite menu items which consisted of various concoctions using onions and peppers. He was a 25 year member of the former Hedgesville Grange. He married Isabel Kelsey Allen December 4, 1955; she preceded him in death November 14, 2003. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, James, Donald, & Lowell Bouton and sisters, Genieva Pawling, Faith Mack, Hope Otis, and Almeda Smith. He is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Vicki & James Krisher of Rexville, NY; his loving companion, Angeline Zeh of Addison, his grandchildren, Melissa (Mitsu) Abo, Melinda Baker and Bradley (Carrie) Baker, his great grandchildren, Iris Abo, Oliver McClain-Baker and Norah McClain-Baker, his step-children, Charles Allen of Dale, TX, Dorothy Bouton of Zephyrhills, FL, Donald Allen of Victor, NY, Greta Ingersoll of Medical Lake, Washington, Arlene Marlatt of Painted Post, NY, Arloween Dennis of Addison, NY, Jack Allen of Salem, SC, Philip Allen of Addison, NY, Kenneth Allen of West Union, SC, and Elma Jean Jacobus of Zephyrhills, FL; and several nieces & nephews. Friends may call on Friday, May 4th at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St., Woodhull, NY, from Noon to 2 PM, where funeral services will be conducted immediately following visitation at 2:00 pm. The Rev. Daniel Knopf will officiate.
