Laverne was an awesome friend and mentor. He was someone who would give you the shirt off his back and you could look up to. He earned the respect of everyone and was adored by all. He was kind of like my neighbor when I used to work at what used to be Gunn's Service Station in Jasper NY. He would stop in every now and then and stay for a little while and then off he would go. He was always busy and a hard worker. I remember stopping at his junk yard and getting some parts off him for a few of my vehicles. He would charge a little but never to much. Laverne was someone to look up to and I was lucky enough to have the privilege to know him. He is loved by everyone that knew him and will be missed by all. God bless your family at this time and my thoughts and prayers are with you.
