Philip was admired by his son Kevin. Kevin and I removed a dryer from his parents basement. Upon doing so, I was cussing like a sailor. Not thinking anything of it...Kevin says, see dad, mom listen to her mouth. First time I bring you home to meet my parents and they gotta hear this. I looked up and his parents were standing at the top of the stairs looking at us. I was embarrassed, not because anyone made me feel this way just because of the sight of those two happy folks looking on eagerly to see us working together and we did ALOT AND well:). It was almost like seeing ourselves in them.

It still doesn’t seem quite real that you are gone. You will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. I think about you all the time and don’t know what to do... but all I know is you’d want life to go on as if you were here. So I will try my hardest to do so. Thank you for being the best Poppy there is to have. You’ve shown and taught me things I will never forget and things I can pass on to Callie. She will always know about Poppy.

Dear Debbie, Paige, Braeden and family,
Gilles and I are so saddened to hear that you have lost such a pillar in your family. He will be missed. He was always so devoted to you guys and others. Paige, Braeden, I hope that you will remember grandpa's wise words and cherish his memory. He was always so happy to give me an update about you guys! He lit right up when he spoke about Paige and Braeden, he sure loved you and was so very proud of you guys! He will be with you always - remember, all you have to do is call on him, and he will be there supporting you and soothing you with his beautiful spirit. Debbie, I wish you peace in these trying times. We are all so sorry for your loss. Remember that you are surrounded by people who care! God bless you all.
With love,
Diane and Gilles

Wow-I am so sorry to hear this. Always though of Phil as a best friend-even though we haven’t seen each other often. We kept thinking we would get together since we moved back to Addison, but?? We were friends through high school, in Little League, in the summers at the lake, so many memories with the whole Riff family. Go with God Phil you’ll be missed.

You were a role model for all of us. Your laughter, shenanigans and jokes could light up a room. I have fond memories spending time with you and Aunt Debbie at your farm. I will miss you Uncle Philly
