Don was a large influence as I grew up next door. I got a forestry degree and worked in forestry for about 20 years partially because of his influence. He tried hard to help me get a job teaching Agriculture after I graduated from college.
I know he will be missed a lot by family and friends, even those who moved across the country years ago.
Don rest in peace.

My condolences to the family!
We have lost a great man! Donald always was there to encourage you and guide you through the things that you never thought that you could do! He was my conservation instructor at SCT BOCES from 1974 to 1977. He also served as my FFA Advisor as he encouraged me to run for Sub-District President in 1976. After winning that office he became the Sub-District Adviser, where I am sure he had a positive influence over many in the State!
I have thought of him often over the years, especially since living in GA for over 35 years! His influence is still felt!
My prayers are for the family during this time!

Donny G, great man and educator! He was my teacher in Conservation and FFA at SCT Boces 1992-1994. He taught me more than just about conservation and FFA, he taught me about life as well, always providing guidance and an ear to listen. He knew how to push us students to be the most successful! He will be missed!

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of Don's family and friends. He touched the lives of so many! I was blessed to have crossing paths with him through my high school years taking the conservation course from 1975 to 1978. In all of my school days his course will forever stay in my mind. His smile, whether it was approval or disapproval, you would never know, but it was a choice that you were allowed to make, right or wrong, he allowed you to choose!
You will forever be in our hearts Don Farrand. You helped mold us into whom we are today!

RIP my friend, we will meet again!

Remember all the good times we had traveling together. The times we had in Paris France, and the times in Hawaii. Certainly will miss you.
